"This was our second time staying at Toucan Escape. We love it here. The owners have thought of it all when it comes to everything you will need to have an amazing vacation! It’s so relaxing and peaceful and just a very short walk to the beach. It’s very clean and decorated so beautiful! It’s the perfect getaway for a couple, a girls trip or small family! Kim is so helpful and truly cares that you have an amazing stay in their house. We are already planning our next stay! Thank you Tim and Kim for sharing your beautiful home!"

"SNOWBIRDS: This is our favorite place that we can’t wait to get back to this year. It’s so comfortable and cozy with everything we need. From beach stuff to kitchen appliances, it’s all there. All we need is our clothes and our fishing poles! My favorite is sitting on the front porch having my morning coffee or reading a book. Such a relaxing space. Can’t wait to see the pool!"

"What a PERFECT vacation staying at Toucan Escape!!! Kim and Tim not only have the most beautifully decorated home, but it is also welcoming , extremely clean, and comfortable. Every detail has been thoughtfully curated, and I enjoyed looking at the art throughout the home. I loved the local art pieces that showcased beautiful Mexico Beach. Both beds were incredibly comfortable for the four of us who visited. Every amenity you can think of is provided and is of TOP QUALITY, from kitchen gear to beach gear. Some of our favorites included the Keurig coffee maker with so many coffee options and the Shibumi Shade for the beach (what a fast beach set-up!!!!) The beach is a very short walk from the house. It’s actually a shorter walk than many beachfront hotels that we have stayed in. The rolling beach wagon made the trip to the beach fast and easy! The beach itself is very clean and quiet. Returning from beach and getting rid of all the sand is super easy with the outdoor shower…which was a hit with our teen boys! You barely need to bring anything with you with the exception of your clothing and food. Toucan Escape is hospitality at its finest!!! "

"We just wrapped up our vacation in Mexico Beach FL along with an unexpected guest … tropical storm Bertha 😳. Thank goodness we chose to stay at Toucan Escape hosted by Tim and Kim DeRoos! Despite the intense weather conditions, we ventured to the beach as much as possible. The excursions were made most effortless as possible in the windy conditions thanks to the cart furnished by our hosts. We chose not to use the sun shade provided in fear it may be damaged or lost 💨. Our hosts supplied everything needed for a wonderful day at the beach. Since the weather was relentless this trip, we spent a lot of time at the home. We enjoyed the coziness of this beautiful two bedroom 2 bath ( one of which is outside) vacation rental. Kim and I (Cassie) grew up together in our home town. I can’t say that we know each other intimately and all I can say is wow! Just wow! I’m proud to say she is a friend and from my hometown. Kim, you really represent Our kinda people well! Everything is well identified for ease of use…no guessing what switch does what. And I did over pack things that our great host had already provided like toiletries and paper products . My granddaughter loved the microwave in the island so she could make her own microwave popcorn (also provided by our host). I highly recommend Toucan Escape for a stress free getaway and a most relaxing experience! So proud of you Kim for what you and Tim have curated and have chosen to share with your community. "Mexico Beach has always been a favorite of ours, but this stay at TouCan Escape truly made it even better. From the moment we arrived, it was clear how much thought and care Tim & Kim have put into this home. Everything was incredibly organized, well-stocked, and so easy to find. We honestly didn’t need anything beyond our clothes! The beach setup was one of our favorite parts! The chairs, cart, and SHIBUNI shade (A MUST) made each day simple and relaxing. We also loved spending time on the porch listening to the sounds of nature. It was such a peaceful place to unwind. You can really see Kim’s attention to detail throughout the home, from the décor to the little touches like games, books, and even my dad’s book, “And There Was a Calm” by Mark Wells. It all made the space feel so welcoming. This home has a special kind of calm to it, and we left feeling completely refreshed. We’re so thankful to Tim & Kim for sharing it. We can’t wait to be back!!🥰☀️🌊"

"Everything about the experience was wonderful! The location is perfect, just a quick walk across the street to the beach, on a quiet side street. The house is beautiful, and so comfortable! She has everything you could possibly need - beach chairs, a shibumi (LOVE), coffee and creamer, snacks, beach towels, kitchen supplies, toiletries, and etc. We did not have a single complaint during our stay!! This was only our second time in Mexico Beach, and we will definitely be back! Toucan Escape is the only place we will stay!! We’re so grateful for our experience!!"

"We love coming to Mexico Beach!🏖️ This is our first time staying at TouCan Escape! We will NEVER stay anywhere else!!! Tim & Kim’s beach house is wonderful!!! Kim’s decorating and her attention to the smallest detail is superb!!!!!! Every thing was labeled, we didn’t have to search for anything! All the supplies you could possibly think of and more were provided! If you think you needed something just take a Quick Look and there it was!!!! We were amazed!!!!! We hear everyone saying this multiple times a day “They literally think of everything!” We never had to go out and buy any thing! We just showed up with our clothes & groceries for the week! There were hooks in every room to hang things for easy access!!! All Bathroom necessities you needed!!!! All kitchen supplies, coffee, spices, everything you need and more!!!!!!!!! Every piece of beach gear you could think of plus more! The easiest Cabana I have ever set up in my life was provided, comfortable beach chairs to match! The cutest matching Swig beach cooler and bag! The BEST beach cart to put all your beach chairs and belongings in with the best beach tires that made it a breeze to walk out to the beach!!!! We loved to outdoor shower and toilet!!!!!!! There is nothing like taking a cool shower outside after a Long Beach day! If you have never tried it, you SHOULD!!!!! The front porch is so comfortable, I loved listening to the wildlife at night and eating lunch on it during a beach pop up storm it was amazingly peaceful!!!!!!! I could go on and on and on about Kim’s Hospitality!!!! She is a true Professional at it!!!!!!! If I could give Tim & Kim 10 stars I would!! They surpass the 5 star stay! Kim didn’t leave any detail out!!!! Down to the game selection, the book selection and to my surprise my husbands book “And there was a Calm” by Mark Wells, the lighting, the furniture, the bedding, the beautiful blankets, pillows, rugs, quilts, they were all carefully chosen with her guest in mind!!! The back porch, grill & utensils were everything you needed to have a backyard dinner!!!!!!! You can definitely feel the love at their home! This beach house has something special here!!!!!! I felt so much peace just sitting on the couch with the shade up, sipping my coffee enjoying a morning devotion!!! If I had a word for this trip it would be “Relaxing” because Tim & Kim took care of everything!!! Down to the beautiful landscape & scenery around! Thank you so much Tim & Kim for sharing your little piece of Heaven with so many, and to give them the gift of truly escaping & RELAXING!"

"We absolutely loved our time at Toucan escape. It is the nicest and most well thought out Airbnb we have stayed in. Kim has thought of everything you could possibly need. The location is so close to the beach, food trucks, local shops while still being private. Kim is a great host and always so friendly and responsive. Can’t wait to visit again!"

"If I could give Kim and her home in Mexico Beach more stars, I definitely would. My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend and it was everything we hoped it would be and more. The house itself had everything we could have imagined for our stay. Kim’s communication was second to none. The beach was breathtakingly gorgeous and so quiet. The walks up and down the main road through town were so scenic and simplistic. We can’t wait to go back. I think we found one of our new secret getaways."
